Description of Training: This training is designed to give participants an understanding of restorative justice practices and how it can be applied to juvenile justice programing as an alternative intervention. Through this webinar participants will also be introduced to restorative justice principles, languages, data on effectiveness, and models to include community circles and victim-offender mediation.
This training will be presented by Daniel Foxvog and Lou Fryer with the Virginia Center for Restorative Justice (VCRJ). VCRJ is dedicated to providing cooperative methods of resolving conflict. Their services include training and facilitation on restorative justice conferencing, restorative justice circles, restorative justice value-based programs, and introductory restorative justice training.
Who should Attend?This training is being offered at no cost to local and state human services professionals. If your agency was recently awarded a DCJS Title II OJJDP or BYRNE Justice Assistance Grant your participation is strongly encouraged.
