Description of Training: The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the first quarterly training of “Beyond Basics." The “Beyond Basics” training series will look at innovative practices to enhance services for victims throughout the Commonwealth.
This workshop will feature presentations on the use of technology to enhance victim services. This full-day training includes presenters from the National Network to End Domestic Violence, the Virginia Victims Fund, the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance, and the Virginia State Patrol. Topics to be covered include:
Target Audience: Law Enforcement, Prosecutors, Victim/Witness Professionals, Family Service Workers, and Victim Advocates
PIC Credit: This course has been approved for six (6) hours of Career Development Partial In-service Credit
Training Location: John Tyler Community College, 800 Charter Colony Parkway, Hamel Hall, Room 109
Participant Registration and Cost: This training is free for participants. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. The opening session will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude by 4:30 p.m. Pre-registration is required. To register as a participant, please click the registration button above.
