The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) and the Commonwealth's Attorneys' Services Council (CASC) are pleased to announce that registration is open for Enhancing the Criminal Justice Response to Domestic Violence. This one-day training course provides an opportunity for law enforcement, prosecutors, and victim advocates to learn best practices in responding to victims of domestic violence. Training will be provided by nationally renowned experts, Lieutenant Mark Wynn (Ret.) of the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department and Nancy Oglesby of the Commonwealth's Attorneys' Services Council.
The training will focus on methods to increase victim and officer safety in domestic violence cases. In addition, evidence-based investigation and prosecution strategies will be discussed.
Law enforcement officers and prosecutors that are funded by a Virginia Services, Training, Officers, Prosecution (VSTOP) grant or the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Victim Fund (VSDVVF) grant through DCJS are strongly encouraged to attend.
Date & Time: Friday, April 10, 2020 -- Training will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end at 4:00 p.m.

Cost of Registration: No cost
